School of Health - Discipline based training programme 2009-2010
Research methods training
Enrolled students who have not yet completed the MSc Research Methods in Health and Social Care module or equivalent and have not received exemptions from studying this module will complete it during 2009 - 2010.
Dates for the Research Methods in Health and Social Care module are:
Semester 1 - 7, 12, 13 October, 4 & 17 November
Semester 3 - 10,11,16,30 June, 7 July.
All 9am - 3pm in Yelvertoft Building, Park Campus (room to be confirmed).

Other sessions
Students are expected to attend the School of Health's Research Development day (9th December 2009).
There are also more subject-specific discipline training via meetings/seminars of the Nursing and Midwifery Research Group, the Health through Occupation Research Group (HETOC) and the Microbiology Forum.
Meetings:
- The Microbiology forum meets the first Wednesday of every month 5-7pm in the Knowledge Exchange at Park Campus.
- The Health through Occupation Research Group semionars take place in Kelmarsh Building, Park Campus at 9 am -10.30 am on 26th October 2009, 8th February 2010), additional sessions with Visiting Professor Doris Pierce from Eastern Kentucky University, USA will take place in Summer 2010
