What's news in History at UN?

The excellent research being carried out by the History team has recently been recognised and supported by the award of two grants from the AHRC. Prof Jon Stobart has been awarded £160,139 for a project entitled 'Consumption and the country house, 1730-1800', whilst Dr Matthew McCormack, in conjunction with Dr Kevin Linch of the University of Leeds, has been granted £145,091 for their study of 'Soldiers and Soldiering, 1750-1815'
